I am very excited to tell you that Philippe Faraut of PCF Studios will be here to teach us sculpting again this year!  Philippe is well known to dollmakers nationwide, and has even taught Thelma Resche and Rachel Cold.  This three day sculpting and mold making class includes lectures on anatomy, emphasizing bone structure and discussions on expression and ethnic differences.  Philippe will teach us to sculpt a doll's head using a photograph that you bring to class.  Two days of intensive work are spent on sculpting a head in a waterbase clay with step-by-step instruction.  The last day is reserved for mold making.  The different types of molds and their uses in the dollmaking industry will  be discussed during this portion of the seminar.  No prior sculpting experience is required.  All materials are provided for use during the seminar.
